Drybar - West 3rd

This was my first time at a Drybar and it was a horrifying and awful experience. I was 15 minutes late due to major traffic on the 101/the canyon. I called 8 times NO ANSWER!!! Jordan the receptionist most RUDEST/WORST ATTITUDE was set there to greet us. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! She said they were very busy. REALLY?? there's 2 clients in the entire place. She immediately said they can't take me. I understand I was late but I really needed a wash so she said either a wash or a blow-dry so I said ok I'll take the wash. I was assigned to Angela who was so sweet and did a great job and she said she had time to blow-dry my hair as I don't have thick long hair so it would be quick. This girl Jordan was giving me dirty looks the entire time and she finally stood up and yelled at Angela saying that no brush should touch my hair as I agreed to wash only. Angela told her that its ok because we still have 10 minutes to closing and it would be done and she didn't mind as I was paying full price. Mind you the other 2 girls there, were not even half way done as they had thick long hair. I started arguing with this receptionist and she aggressively came toward me and started yelling and then went back to her desk and slammed the drawer. At this point I'm thinking she's coming towards me so violently so my daughters stood up to guard me. She actually stormed out but I got so scared I thought she was headed to hit me. As we left the salon we had to make sure that she was not waiting outside for us. This is how scared we were. I do have to say that Angela did a wonderful job on my hair and I was very appreciative but my entire evening was ruined and I couldn't enjoy my pretty hair. Nova another hairdresser agreed that Jordan was out of line and unprofessional so Nova offered me a $20.00 discount for the terrible experience I had. Needless to say I will never go back and I feel so bad for anyone that has to work or come in contact with this Jordan girl.

Hands down, would recommend Cameron, a thousand times over. Not only is he an incredible stylist but he’s also an amazing person. Thanks for my NYE hair, Cameron!

Great atmosphere, Great Customer service! I brought my 5y old daughter here. I was a little surprised the stylist had no problem doing her hair. Her hair is very kinky and tight curls! first blow out and the Stylist with red hair is Amazing. Sorry I can't remember her name but All staff was Amazing and nice!!! We will be back! Thankyou for providing my daughter with a great experience! #Priceless

At first it seemed to be going good as was my usual experience at this place for the last 5 years every time I was in LA but this time the girl assigned to me thought she was a school teacher instead of a hair stylist !! from the moment she appeared before me she was rude brash and abrupt giving me instructions like I was a 5 year old in school ….. now sit down real quick and lean back and hold your hair up for me ….. back in school???? …. Sure felt like it …. ! After a quick shampoo and conditioner …. Hold your breath for this one !!! Please go back and sit at the same chair we started from ….. wow!! And then…. Yep the worst blow dry ever !!! Didn’t follow instructions did exactly as she pleased !! Last time for me!!

I apparently booked the wrong type of appt and then was treated rudely for doing so and told they wouldn’t have time and then they attempted it poorly anyways. Result was a Pricey updo done poorly. Really disappointing service overall.
